Prayer taps us into the power source of life !

Let prayer help you focus on God, to show Him your love and thanks. Talk to Him about what bothers you. In fact, even if you don't know what to say, or how to say it ... just sit quiet ~ get close to Him, God knows your heart and mind. He watches over everything that is going on in your live. God knows our troubles and sorrows, as well as our joy and happiness. He wants us to share everything with Him. He sent His Son to die for our sins so that we can come boldly before His throne of grace and find love, forgiveness and mercy.

God hears all our prayers.  Even when it doesn't seem like He is answering, we must continue to pray.  God knows what is best for us, and does everything out of love.  Trust Him to answer according to His perfect will and time, and let it build your faith in Him.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone. I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. {1 Timothy 2:1-6, and 8}

PRAYER

Almighty God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I pray you will cleanse our hearts and renew a right spirit within us. Father, convict us and let us be filled with grief if there is any sexual immorality among us. Let us not take pride in this, but help us to disassociate with those who call themselves a brother, but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. Father, open our eyes to see your truth, and act upon it. Let us not be swayed by man's opinion, but let us live for the glory of your name, in all boldness, by your Almighty power.

For Jesus' sake, we ask these things. Amen

SCRIPTURE

Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit.
And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present.
When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit,
and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,
hand this man over to Satan,
so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.
Your boasting is not good.
Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?
Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are.
For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
Therefore let us keep the Festival,
not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness,
but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people--
not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral,
or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters.
In that case you would have to leave this world.
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?
Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside.
